After a second the gear is turned to view Honey's beaming face; he appears to be hanging off the back of a Kangaskhan, who seems to be tolerating his monkey-like antics with all the patience of a doting mother. In the absence of a baby, she appears to have decided her new trainer more or less fits the bill. Of note are the bright pink scarves they're wearing; Kan-chan's is tied in a bow. ]

Ne, ne, Kan-chan! Smile for the camera!! Big and wiiiide! [ Kan-chan will flash her teeth to appease her tiny charge as he moves the gear closer to her, why not. He is so enthusiastic. She is the best mother. ] That's it! A first impression is important, right?

[ Honey has yet to drop the light, playful tone of voice, but he'll get to a slightly more serious note now. Kind of. He heaves a bit of sigh, dramatic in a practiced sort of way. ] Ahhhhhhhn, I don't recall going anywhere...did Tama-chan plan something without saying? No one seems to know! And no one's numbers are listed here, although I tried them all! Takashi will be worried, you know, I was supposed to meet up with him after class...Kan-chan, there was going to be cake...!

[ And that, of course, is the moment where he switches from light and breezy to legitimately put out. His priorities. ] And now there isn't any cake, it's sad, right? [ There, there. While Honey mopes on her back, the Kangaskhan pats his head gently. After a second of sulking, Honey's back to being cheerful, and finally winds down to what he probably ought to have started with. ] Takashi...! Tama-chaaaan, Kyo-chan, Haru Hika Kao-channnnn, Reikooooo-chan! Can you hear me? Kan-chan and I would like an answer! Ah, I lost Bun-Bun, too...He wasn't here when I got here. Today is an Bun-Bun day, too...

Well, we'll go see if there's a shop with cakes. Kan-chan, you want one, right? We'll savor them properly and wait for everyone else to call us! Onward!! [ ...He's apparently not getting off of her back, he's just going to let her tote him around. And apparently Kan-chan is allowing this, since they start to move as Honey shuts off the gear. ]

You just have a natural bias towards them, I think.

I wouldn't call my Onix cute, but... Mostly, yes!

I could do that right now if you wanted. None of them are camera shy.

Coco is a Minccino! He is my starter. Next is Fitch, the Pidgeotto. Next to him is Mara, my cute little Petilil. Mikimoto is a Ponyta and when he evolves into Rapidash, he'll kind of be like a flaming unicorn. Cassidi just recently evolved! She was a Purrloin, but is now a Liepard! Oh oh! My newest hatchlings are right there: Etro, the Cleffa and Akris, an Emolga.

Princess is the newest addition. She is a Illumise. Hikaru got a Volbeat at the same time!

[ Oooooooh. Honey is appropriately AWED and IMPRESSED by this line up - especially the cute ones. If and when he meets the cute ones they will get hugs. ]

...They're all so cute!! Coco-chan and Mara-chan especially...and Miki-chan is cool and cute at the same time!! Ahhh, there's so many of them! You really have been here a while, huh, Kao-chan?
